In this case study, we explore the design and development of a cutting-edge fractional investment platform aimed at democratizing access to high-value assets. The platform was created to bridge the gap between traditional investment opportunities and everyday investors, allowing users to invest in fractions of assets such as real estate, art, and collectibles.

Project Overview
The CakeShares project is aimed at developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a platform that facilitates venture registration, listings, user registration (KYC/KYB), chats, and Stripe-based transactions. This project encompasses the development of a web app, a progressive web app (PWA), a mobile app, and an admin portal.

Challenge
Prior to the development of this platform, the investment market faced several issues: High Capital Requirements: Traditional asset investments required significant upfront capital. Limited Access: Retail investors had minimal opportunities to invest in lucrative markets. Illiquidity Issues: Selling or exiting investments in real estate and collectibles was slow. Lack of Transparency: Many platforms lacked a clear ownership structure. Regulatory Compliance: Navigating SEC and other financial regulations posed challenges.
